Licensed Land Surveyor

Rice is seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor to support a wide range of surveying and mapping projects, including conventional surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, and LiDAR-based data collection. This role is well-suited for an adaptable professional who values a supportive team environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable data for important public infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

  • Support and lead tasks across conventional surveying, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction, and as-built surveys
  • Work with teams involved in static, mobile, and terrestrial LiDAR, as well as UAS and photogrammetric mapping
  • Review and contribute to high-quality survey deliverables and mapping products
  • Guide CADD and field staff as needed
  • Assist with project planning, research, and occasional field operations

Qualifications

  • Licensed Land Surveyor (or ability to obtain licensure in Virginia)
  • 1–3 years of professional surveying experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with modern survey equipment, LiDAR workflows, and CADD tools
  • Valid driver’s license
