CADD Technician

Rice is seeking a motivated CADD Technician to support a variety of surveying and mapping projects. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys producing accurate deliverables, learning new technology, and contributing to meaningful public infrastructure projects as part of a supportive team.

What You'll Do

  • Create survey drawings and mapping deliverables for a variety of projects using industry-standard CADD software
  • Process field data and assist with preparation of digital terrain models, contours, and related mapping outputs
  • Support project managers and field crews with project setup, data organization, and deed/plat research
  • Assist with occasional field work as project needs evolve
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on quality and client service

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of surveying or CADD experience
  • Proficiency in at least one major CADD platform (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Carlson)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
  • Valid driver’s license
