Regional Director - richmond
Rice Associates, Inc. is seeking a Regional Director to provide senior leadership and strategic oversight for operations, business development, and project performance within an assigned region. Reporting to the Vice President, this role is responsible for growing market presence, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, and in alignment with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead regional operations, staff coordination, and resource planning
Drive business development, market growth, and strategic teaming efforts
Oversee project budgets, schedules, QA/QC, and financial performance
Build and maintain strong client relationships and represent the firm externally
Collaborate with executive leadership on staffing, strategy, and contracts
Promote a safety‑focused, accountable, high‑performance culture
Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Licensed Surveyor (LS)
7+ years of progressive experience in an engineering or surveying firm
Transportation project experience preferred
Strong leadership, business, financial, and communication skills
Work Environment Primarily office‑based with occasional field work and travel.
