Project manager

Rice Associates, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in our Manassas office. 

Role and Responsibility  

  • Manages Projects with state, federal and local agencies as well as private sector clients assigned to him/her.

  • Draft’s proposals, Monitors project budget, hours and deadlines to optimize productivity within constraints of existing resources; notifies Regional Director and operations if additional resources are needed.

  • Assist in the mentorship, training, and development of the survey team.

  • Represent your clients throughout key milestones in their projects.

  • Develops project workflows and maintains communication with Operations regarding workflow modifications throughout the project life cycle.

  • Maintains communications with clients and provides progress and status reports, as necessary.

  • Seals and signs deliverables as needed, if licensed as a LS where the professional has exercised direct control and personal supervision of project.

  • Maintains professional licenses, memberships, and affiliations related to his/her role.

  • Prepare, review and monitor field surveys, CAD work, plats, and final surveys.

    other duties as assigned.

     Qualifications and Skills

  • Licensed LS in the state of residence preferred, but not required. Willingness to obtain licenses in additional states.

  • 5 + years of experience in project management with multiple locations.

  • Valid Driver’s license.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, autoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson.

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
